Health care insurance is a complex issue. I participate in many plans which cover most services with or without an accompanying co-payment.
If you have insurance, please bring your plan information with you to your first visit. If you require a referral from your primary care doctor, you must make sure it is valid at the time of the visit or you may not be able to be seen. We will work with you to assure that you receive the maximum benefits to which you are entitled.
Nowadays many procedures and medications may not be covered under your current health plan and will be your responsibility. All efforts will be made to make you aware of these situations. Most plans include co-payments, a deductible and other expenses which must be paid by the patient at the time of the visit.
I know questions can arise on insurance matters and these should be discussed with my secretary. I will be happy to help you receive maximum benefits; however the agreement of the insurance company to pay for medical care is a contract between you and the company.
