Part of the training of a dermatologist is in multiple surgical techniques. These include the simple destructive modalities  of electrodessication (electric needle), cryosurgery (liquid nitrogen), acid destruction, and chemical destruction.  More complex procedures include simple scalpel surgery, excisions, flaps, grafts, and laser surgery.  In all cases where it is deemed necessary referral to plastic and general surgery is readily provided.
